OUR PROCESS EXPLAINED

INTEGRATIVE ONCOLOGY | NATUROPATHY & NUTRITION

STEP 1 MAKE AN APPOINTMENT

Please call Reception on (03) 9571 7498. Our receptionists will be able to discuss the process with you and book you in.

STEP 2 BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

Before your appointment, it can be helpful to gather any tests that you have including: blood tests, X-ray / MRI / CT scans and reports, pathology & surgery reports or any other documentation that may be relevant.

STEP 3 THE INITIAL CONSULTATION

This appointment is a detailed client history & information gathering session to learn about your current health status, cancer type, past, present or future treatment options, medical team, current health and lifestyle habits and, of course, to get to know you and your values. ** The first visit is about exchange of information and education - there are generally no treatment recommendations at this stage.

STEP 4 TAKE IT TO THE NEXT STEP

Decide if you would like to proceed with a Personalised Integrative Oncology Plan Or Nutrition Plan. There is no obligation to proceed with a plan but please bear in mind there are generally no recommendations until the detailed analysis is completed

STEP 5 PAYMENT & ANALYSIS

Once you have chosen to have a plan prepared and the fee paid, the individualised analysis and preparation takes place. This process takes approximately 2 weeks, depending on access to your medical records. We ask you to complete an ‘Authority to Release Medical Information Form’ to access your relevant medical records.

STEP 6 YOUR PLAN IS PRESENTED

Your 2nd consultation is a 60 minute appointment where your Draft Plan is presented to you and the content discussed.  Technical jargon and clinical recommendations will be explained in detail, so that you are left feeling informed and empowered.  This is an opportunity to ask questions, and to make final amendments according to your feedback.

STEP7 FOLLOW THE LIST OF RECOMMENDATIONS

We have a stocked dispensary should you wish to purchase any of the items from the recommended prescription. We are also able to post your order if you are not able to collect it.

STEP 8 FOLLOW-UP CONSULTATIONS

It is vital that we stay abreast of any treatment or symptom changes in order to adjust dosing in a timely manner and ensure ongoing safety, suitability and efficacy. For patients in active treatment, we highly recommend an appointment after every cycle to allow for blood test review and symptom support - this is the benefit of personalised integrative care.
